  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Pour the lime juice and olive oil into the bowl and whisk together until well combined.
  • Add the dry ingredients: chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and ground cumin.
  • Whisk the mixture vigorously until all spices are fully incorporated.
  • Use the chili lime marinade immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

For a spicier marinade, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce. Consider using honey or maple syrup to balance the flavors. Great for marinating proteins, vegetables, or in dressings.
