  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Ensure even distribution throughout the batter.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a fork until smooth.
  • Mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  • Add baking soda and salt, then stir in the granulated sugar.
  • Beat the egg and add it to the mixture along with vanilla extract.
  • Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
  • Carefully fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 4x8 inch loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  • Allow the baked bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best results. You can also freeze bananas if they become too ripe. Avoid overmixing once the flour is added to keep the bread fluffy. Feel free to add nuts for extra texture.
