Preparation

  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season them with salt and pepper. Allow the seasoned chicken to sit for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  • Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and scrape up any browned bits from the skillet.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coat it with the sauce, and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are evenly pounded for the best cooking results. Substitute chicken thighs for added flavor and use half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
