Ingredients
  

Taco Filling

  • 1 lb Ground Beef Core protein, providing richness
  • 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning Flavor infusion
  • 1 cup Enchilada Sauce Moisture and added flavor

Taco Shells

  • 8 pieces Tortillas Corn or flour for the perfect crunchy shell
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Crisping agent for the shell
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Binding element and flavor enhancer

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef, add enchilada sauce, and stir. Simmer for a couple of minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for 30-60 seconds to make them pliable.
  • Brush one side of each tortilla with olive oil and lay them on a baking sheet with the oiled side down.

Assembly

  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese on half of each tortilla.
  • Add 1/4 cup of the beef mixture on top of the cheese, then add another 2 tablespoons of cheese.
  • Fold each tortilla in half carefully to enclose the filling and arrange them back on the baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake the tacos in the preheated oven for approximately 16 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow the tacos to cool for about three minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider using ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based proteins. You can also create homemade taco seasoning for a fresher taste and explore various toppings.
