  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Main Ingredient

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Soak up the marinade flavors.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it coats every surface evenly.
  • Squeeze out any excess air from the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken.
  • Refrigerate the chicken in the marinade for at least one hour, or preferably overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off.
  • Grill the chicken breasts for approximately six to seven minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to serve.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for best results. Feel free to adjust seasonings to taste. This marinade also works great with vegetables, shrimp, or pork.
