Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef Provides flavor and moisture
  • 1 pound ground pork Adds richness and texture
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Binds ingredients and enhances texture
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds umami and depth
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped Brightens the flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds warmth and depth
  • 1 large egg Binds the mixture
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Essential seasoning

For Serving

  • 1 jar marinara sauce For serving

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef and ground pork.
  • Add breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, one egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  • Scoop out a handful of the mixture to form meatballs the size of golf balls.
  • Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan while meatballs are baking.
  • Serve baked meatballs with warm marinara sauce and garnish with parsley and Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake instead of fry. Consider freezing meatballs for future meals. They can be cooked from frozen by adding extra baking time.
